An environment-friendly, cost-effective, and sustainable technology for flexible printing has been developed by researchers from IIT Roorkee and Afflatus Gravure Private Limited, Noida (Dr. Anurag Kulshreshtha, Professor Millie Pant, Professor Y S Negi, Rtd. of IIT Roorkee, and Arun Pandey of Afflatus Gravure Private Limited, Noida), thanks to the collaboration on a project by the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, and Afflatus Gravure Private Limited, Noida. Water-based printing ink has been created for rotogravure printing on flexible packaging. At IIT Roorkee, the application process for a technology patent is already underway.
