On Thursday, that is, 05.01.2023., the UGC unveiled draft regulations for foreign universities operating in India. These universities can now establish campuses for the first time in India. They will now be empowered to control the admissions procedure, the cost of attendance, and the repatriation of their cash. As per the notification, foreign universities with campuses in the nation can offer full-time programmes in offline mode only, and not online or distance learning.
