The number of students enrolled in higher education institutions in India crosses the 40 million barrier for the first time, as per the Government’s AISHE (All India Survey on Higher Education) 2020-2021.

The survey has accumulated thorough data on a number of aspects including infrastructure data, instructor data, student enrolment, financial data and the like. Using the DCF (Web Data Capture Format) created by the Department of Higher Education with aid from the NIC (National Informatics Centre), HEIs (Higher Education Institutions) filled out the data online for the first time in the AISHE 2020-2021.
