The Comics Conclave which is being hosted by IIT Gandhinagar is all set to showcase a few pages from the original sketchbook of the highly esteemed filmmaker, Satyajit Ray. As part of the event titled ‘An Exhibition of Low Art’, which is scheduled to be held from 21st January to 22nd January 2023, some chosen and curated images from Ray’s original sketchbook will be displayed by the institute as these demonstrate Ray’s approach to the sequential visual story.

This noble effort will be supported by Ray’s son, Sandeep Ray, who himself is a reputed filmmaker, and Pinaki De, a comics scholar, designer, and Associate Professor at Raja Peary Mohan College, University of Calcutta.
